HIGHLY ENGAGED CULTURE

Friendly, casual work culture at LongHorn

We’re for real

You Can’t Fake Steak™, and you can’t fake a great work culture. At LongHorn Steakhouse, from the instant you walk into one of our restaurants, you can feel it.

People-pleasing people

Throughout our restaurant, we are focused on our people. We create a place where team members feel valued, listened to and appreciated.

Teamwork that leverages talent

We Are Longhorn is not just a catchphrase. It’s the way we work together, like a family. Here, everyone feels comfortable being themselves, but also relishes the opportunity to be part of a team.

Quality that shines through

We take great pride in serving fresh, never frozen, steaks, chicken and fish. We use only high-quality ingredients. And we expertly grill our food. It sets us apart and is the perfect recipe for success.

A strong foundation

Longhorn is part of the Fortune 500 Darden family, which includes brands like Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze and more. Darden owns and operates 1,600 restaurants, employs 165,000 people and is one of America’s largest private employers.

Great growth potential

You can grow at LongHorn. In fact 99% of Managing Partners are promoted from within and half our hourly team members move into our Manager-in-Training program.

Community

Passion for food and our community

At Longhorn, we are pleased to participate in many community initiatives. Here are a few:

Harvest Program: In partnership with Food Donation Connections, every LongHorn Steakhouse focuses on giving back by participating in our Harvest Program and contributing high-quality food items, such as steak, seafood and vegetables, on a weekly basis to community food banks and other non-profit organizations to help feed the hungry. Since 2007, we’ve donated more than 17 million pounds of food.

Darden Dimes: An internal program funded by team members that provides more than $15 million in assistance to co-workers facing emergencies.

Tip a Cop: Local police help us serve our guests and funds are given to the local Special Olympics.

First Responders: On selected dates, we say thanks to first responders by providing free appetizers to police, firefighters and EMTs.

We love the planet, too

Team members get together on Green Teams to brainstorm ideas for sustainability. We also recycle, use more efficient bulbs, implement new energy management systems and deploy water-saving cooking technologies, among many other initiatives.
